Happy New Year, And Welcome to 2010!

Happy New Year! I have a few new years resolutions.. and if i don't write them down, and with out God's help, there is no chance i will succeed.
1. to read my bible every day with no exceptions.
2. to write a blog or jurnal entry every day.
3. to keep up with my school and keep my grades this high the whole year.
4. and to honor Gods and keep his commandments.

I am still alive in case you were wondering! ;)

Hey all!
Sorry I haven't posted anything in a really long time! I am so excited right now!!! :D We just got back from Portsmouth and we bought a new van!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEY!!! It is a Toyota Sienna and has every single thing that I wanted our new vehicle to have! Just this morning we were about ready to buy a different van thing but it ended up not working out which turned out to be a HUGE blessing!!! I love watching God work, even in little things like buying something.
So here is a something new in my life, I am planing on going to Fiji in the spring for a short term mission trip to a school for the deaf that some friends of ours started! I am really excited because as you know if you have read my bio, I have been interested in Sign Language ever since I was five, and have been teaching my self ASL (American Sign Language) for a little over a year now. Fijian Sign is different but there are similarities and Mr. Cooney (the friend who started and runs the shool) said that if I am fimiliar to any form of sign language it should be easy for me to pick it up. I am really hopeing I can find a friend or two who is intrested in coming with me and my dad. So please pray that if it is God's will that He will send someone and that he will open doors for us to go. Also please pray that I will be able to earn the money I need to go on this trip if it is His will!!!
Alright and here is another new thing! Next summer (if I can earn the money in that time, if not then the next summer) I am hoping to be and exchange student to Nihon- I mean JAPAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As you can Imagaine, I am extreamly excited about this trip too!!
ok, there is much more I want to talk about on that subject and many, many others but I am now the only one still awake in the house and I have to go to bed!! I will post soon!!

Kotono Comes Tomorrow!! :)

hey all,
well, this is it. Tomorrow Kotono comes!!!! Monday we will be leaving to go camping in NH for a week! So it might be a while before I can write again, but at least when I get back I will have something to say and there won't be anymore of this boring 'hi, there is nothing to say, i have to go clean now! bye!', but Kotono will be here so I don't really know how much time for blogging I will have! lol
So, last night we went to a friends house and we watched The Emperor's New Grove! I love that movie, and I hadn't seen it in a while so it was fun. :) After the movie some of us sat around talking about random dreams we have had, I'm not sure how the conversation started though!
I can't stand to fly, I'm not that naive, I'm just out to find, The better part of me, I'm more than a bird... I'm more than a plane, More than some pretty face beside a train, It's not easy to be me ♪ (superman, five for fighting)
I have had five for fighting songs stuck in my head all the time! Riddle, Superman, 100 Years, they are all so awesome! Five for fighting is one of my new favorite bands (obviously).
The other day we went to Camp West Wood (a YMCA beach on a lake near us), for my friend's "annual beach picnic". It was really fun, we swam, went canoeing, went off the rope swing, and ate food of course. I got a sunburn on my knees from the canoe trip, but other than that I didn't get sunburned so I am happy.
Well I have to go!

I love 100 Years

Hey all,
if you haven't already, you need to listen to 100 years by five for fighting! It is awesome, I love it! I was inspired by my brother and a friend who learned how to play it on the piano, and learned how to my self. :)

I'm 15 for a moment
Caught in between 10 and 20
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
I'm 22 for a moment
She feels better than ever
And we're on fire
Making our way back from Mars
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to lose
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
I'm 33 for a moment
Still the man, but you see I'm a they
A kid on the way
A family on my mind
I'm 45 for a moment
The sea is high
And I'm heading into a crisis
Chasing the years of my life
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy, Time to lose yourself
Within a morning star
15 I'm all right with you
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
Half time goes by
Suddenly youre wise
Another blink of an eye
67 is gone
The sun is getting high
We're moving on...
I'm 99 for a moment
Dying for just another moment
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
15 there's still time for you
22 I feel her too
33 you're on your way
Every day's a new day...
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to choose
Hey 15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

yep

Hey y'all ;)
I lost my voice. It is annoying...
Sorry if that was random, but this is blogging so I guess it doesn't matter, idk.
Last night I went to a friends birthday party, it was really fun! We had a campfire and sang songs like the hippo song, played some games (wa, king elephant, the animal game, etc), and played man hunt. I think a better name for it though would be more like, hiding in the dark after telling story's about all the coyotes in the area, then jumping out and trying to scare everyone! hmmm... maybe thats how I lost my voice... not that I was scared at all... no... not me... I would never, ever scream while playing hitdatsaatcitatjoattse(haha If you cant figure out what that is read the last sentence! haha)!
sorry if this was extremely confusing... I'm trying to do to many things at the same time! well, Katherine wants me to go swimming with her so ta ta for now!

Writing to Kotono

Hey all,
this is Kotono! We are going to pick her up at a college in Wooster Mass, on the 25 of July! That is in eight days!! I can't wait yet, at the same time I wish I had more time to get ready before she comes.
I was just replying to a email she sent me and was curious to see how Google Translate would translate it. So I translated it into Japanese then translated that into English, and here is what happened:

Dear Kotono,
I am very excited that I am going to meet you soon!
Do you like camping in tents?
On July 27, we are all going to go camping together!
It will be very fun!
Please bring your swimming suit!
We will go swimming and kayaking!
I am excited to learn furoshiki!

Love, Bre

Dear Kotono,
I think it's almost a delight!
Do you like camping in a tent?
July 27, we will camp with everyone!
It's great fun!
Please bring your swimsuit!
We go swimming and kayaking!
Furoshiki me excited to learn!

Love, the company's

Don't ask where it got "love, the company's" from "love, bre"!! I love translating random things on Google Translate! It can be hilarious, especially if its 10:23 PM and you are really tired! :)

Cloud Gazing

Hey all,
Cloud gazing is amazing. The more I do it the more I fall in love with God creation. Just think about it, we look at something like a house or tree and think its big, but clouds are thousands (millions, billions, idk) of times bigger! But that is only one reason they are amazing, God uses them like clay and shapes them into so many beautiful things! They change constantly. Last night we set up our new tent, to make sure it was big enough for the four girls, Mom, Katherine, Kotono and I,(the guys have they're own tent). We checked it out, then everyone else went inside the house. I took the fly off the top of the tent then went in and laid down in the middle of the huge empty tent and cloud gazed. I watched huge bats, butterflies, fish, and of course, dragons soar over head in the billowing clouds. My family teases me about how I love the clouds, and take tons of pictures of them. When we flew to Texas this February I filled up an 8GB memory card with pretty much nothing but pictures of clouds from in the plane and a few horses!

well, I should really get back to cleaning my room up for Kotono!

In less than two weeks my exchange student Kotono, is coming from Japan to stay with us for about three weeks! I cant wait, its going to be so fun! =D We have a TON of getting ready to do though since I have been at camp, so if you think of us please pray that we will be able to get everything done before she comes!! Home from WorldView!

Hey everyone,
for those of you who don't know I (and a bunch of friends) just got back from a week at one of the World View Academy leadership camps. We were staying at Keen State College, in Keen NH. This was my second year, and I definitely got a lot more out of the lectures and made many more friendships with some of the most awesome Christan teens, and College students in the country! I had the best small group and small group leader in the world, and I love them all!! The speakers this year were Jeff Baldwin, Jay Winslow, Mark Bertrand, Brandon Booth, and for the alumni lectures it was Nathan Pigors (ok I have no idea how to spell his name so if anyone knows please correct me), on the east coast. And on the west coast this year is Bill Jack, Randy Sims, Dell Cook, Mike Tiland and others I think. I am already signed up for next year and definitely would recommend it for all Christan teens! An average day at worldview(Tuesday for example) went like this:
7:00-7:30 Wake up
8:00 Devotions/Quiet Time
8:30 Breakfast
9:30 Staff Skit/Color Team Points
9:45 Wisdom (lecture)
11:00 Blind Faith (lecture)
12:30 Lunch
1:30 Small Group Time
2:45 Sports/Free Time
5:30 Dinner
6:30 Abuse of Power (lecture)
7:30 Worship
8:00 Critical Thinking/Alumni Track
8:50 Point Break
9:00 Night at The Movies
10:45 T-Time (Small Group Time)
11:15 Get Ready for Bed
11:30 Lights out

On other days we had Leadership Practicums, and Worldview Practicums, and one day we went out to down town keen and asked people "what do you think happens when you die?", and on the last day we had a huge relay and cheer competition between the color teams (by the way, I was on yellow and WE WON!!!! :) I MISS WVA!!!!!
